About the location:

Steps from the Prophet’s Mosque, our Hotel will offer luxury accommodation for the city’s 1.5 million annual visitors. The new-build hotel will be located at the heart of Madinah and steps from one of the most historic and significant sites in the region: Al-Masjid an-Nabawi, also known as the Prophet’s Mosque. Madinah is also home to the Quba Mosque, which is regarded as the oldest mosque in the world.

 

 

About the Role

 

We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Executive Sous Chef to support the culinary operations at Four Seasons Hotel Madinah. Reporting to the Executive Chef, you will assist in overseeing the preparation, presentation, and service of all food items, ensuring that the culinary team consistently meets Four Seasons’ high standards of quality, creativity, and hygiene. You will play a key role in managing kitchen staff, maintaining inventory, and contributing to the development of innovative menus that elevate the guest experience.

 

What You Will Do

  • Assist the Executive Chef in overseeing the day-to-day operations of all kitchen areas, ensuring that food preparation and service meet Four Seasons’ standards of excellence.
  • Lead, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
  • Ensure the preparation and presentation of high-quality, consistent dishes in line with menu specifications.
  • Assist in the creation and development of new menus, taking into account guest preferences, seasonal ingredients, and market trends.
  • Monitor kitchen inventory, ensuring that stock levels are maintained, orders are placed in a timely manner, and food wastage is minimized.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations, conducting regular inspections of the kitchen, equipment, and storage areas.
  • Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure smooth coordination of kitchen operations for events, banquets, and in-room dining services.
  • Assist in managing kitchen budgets, controlling food costs, and optimizing the profitability of culinary operations.
  • Handle guest feedback and special requests in a professional and prompt manner.
  • Participate in regular staff meetings and provide input on improving kitchen operations and guest satisfaction.
