ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF FOOD & BEVERAGE 

The Four Seasons Resort Hualalai is looking for Assistant Director of Food & Beverage. Candidates with a passion for excellence, expertise in hospitality operations and proven leadership experience are invited to apply for a career with Four Seasons. As a member of the Food & Beverage team, the Assistant Director works across disciplines to deliver an exceptional experience.

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Coordinate the selection, training, development, and evaluation of employees and managers in the Food & Beverage Division through effective management and leadership to ensure that established cultural and core standards are met; long-range strategic planning for outlet operation.
  • Control labor and operating expenses through effective planning, budgeting, purchasing decisions, policy making, and inventory control while focusing on creative cost control and revenue generation solutions to maximize profit in the division and hotel
  • The ability to be visible in the operation, recognize and maintain relationships with regular guests as well as cultivate relationships with new patrons through effective marketing and personal relationships.
  • The ability to work closely with the Director of F&B to design effective menus, wine lists, and amenity options while ensuring excellent product quality at a fair price.
  • Communicate with employees and managers to ensure operational needs are met as well as attend regular operational meetings to ensure effective coordination and cooperation between departments.

WHAT TO BRING

  • Required by the Hawaii State Department of Health to obtain a Tuberculous (TB) clearance card when working in food and beverage
  • College degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of three to five years of relevant experience in a similar role with Four Seasons or another luxury hospitality organization.
  • Successful candidate must possess legal work authorization in United States
  • Weekend & Holiday availability required
  • Ability to accurately read and work with computer systems.
  • Strong Customer Service skills
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and 10-key by touch
