Manager-in-Training

 

We are seeking Managers-in-Training (MIT) to join our award-winning team of service providers who share our organization’s passion for excellence, and will infuse their enthusiasm for hospitality in everything they do. As an MIT, you will craft the guest and employee experience.

 

Our goal is to cultivate you as a member of the next generation of senior leaders at Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts. Once you have completed the program, you will have learned the leadership behaviors that will make you successful in your career with us. To accomplish this, you will assume supervisory responsibilities in at least two operations departments during your time in the program.

What you will do…

  • Complete two departmental job rotations within an operating (Rooms, Food and Beverage or Spa) or Finance division.
  • Learn the leadership skills necessary to support your staff in providing exceptional service to our guests.
  • Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to concerns and requests.
  • Attend, participate in and occasionally lead required meetings or training events.
  • Complete two strategic projects:

 

Significantly impact the guest or employee experience within your department Determine a hotel-wide opportunity to develop a new strategy with a focus on revenue-enhancement and profitability.

  • Contribute to our environment with a positive and engaging attitude.
  • Demonstrate your strong work ethic and proven leadership skills by making decisions that best serve our guest and employees.
  • Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors; maintain discretion and confidentiality, including matters pertaining to guests, staff, and the company.
  • Consider the Four Seasons style of service, leadership and engagement in every interaction to create experiences that are second-to-none.

 

What we expect from you…

  • College degree preferably specializing in hotel/restaurant management or equivalent experience is required.
  • Two years previous experience with a preferred leadership progression
  • Ability to quickly gain a working knowledge of division operations as well as Four Seasons cultural and core standards, policies, and standard operating procedures. This working knowledge is generally learned on-the-job.
  • Positive attitude with a generous and uplifting team approach
  • Ability to actively anticipate and prioritize the needs of the guest
  • Energetic and professional approach to the art of hospitality
