Sofitel New York is looking for an Engineering Manager who is an enthusiastic, hospitality-oriented professional that will be responsible for all administrative aspects of the department, as well as assisting the financial and operating aspects of the hotel as they directly relate to the engineering division. Establish and support a high level of cooperation and teamwork in all areas of Engineering and among other departments.

Assisting the Director of Engineering in administering the Engineering department ensuring that all equipment and machinery in running properly all guest rooms and public space in good condition while ensuring the budget and payroll are monitored. The Engineering Manager is responsible for the hotels fire plan and building evacuation along with all fire and safety systems.

Job Description Supervise Maintenance and production of all items need to paint and furniture in the facility. Keep the technical services workshop up and running. Care for and repair all items need to paint in the facility. Perform tasks assigned by his/her manager that are related to the department and position. Take part in any work that requires the full participation of the Technical Service Department. Supervise Scrape, sandpaper, prime, or seal surfaces prior to painting in the facility. Repair any problems with keys and locks. Work on a shift basis and start the shift on time. Keep the work space clean and ensure that it is cleaned after the work is complete. Must always look clean and proper and wear a uniform. Carry out other reasonable tasks that may be requested. Work according to the policies, procedures and instructions identified by the Chief Engineer Take part in the Emergency Response Team. Carry out all responsibilities related to the quality management systems implemented at the facilities. Carry out all other duties assigned by managers and hotel management not specified in the job description.
