Junior Sous Chef

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Sous Chef or Lead Cook in a restaurant or hotel

• At least 3 years of hands-on experience working as a Line Cook

• Working knowledge of health department regulations and proper cooking and holding temperatures 

• Demonstrate strong leadership by setting an example, holding team accountable for performance, upholding culinary standards, and ensuring adherence to established procedures

• Proven experience in taking ownership of team performance and operational outcomes, demonstrating a proactive and self-sufficient management style

• Ability to work varied shifts that include nights, weekends and holidays

• Previous experience managing team members within a collective bargaining agreement (Union)

• Demonstrates a commitment to career progression within the culinary field

Shift pattern: mostly PM shifts starting between 2:00pm and 3:00pm

Pay rate: $30.00 – $35.00/hr
