People and Culture Coordinator

Job Description

 

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented People and Culture Coordinator to join our team. This generalist role is pivotal in supporting our HR & WHS operations and ensuring a seamless employee experience at Mercure Queenstown Resort. The ideal candidate will be highly organised, people-focused, and eager to contribute to a positive and productive workplace culture.

  • Support the recruitment process, including posting job adverts, conducting various pre employment checks and preparing offers of employment
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure all HR/L&D systems are up to date
  • Assist with HR documentation such as contract amendments, policies, compliance training
  • Coordinate and facilitate employee training sessions and engagement activities
  • Respond to employee queries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures
  • Support payroll administration through timesheet accuracy checks and data upload
  • Complete WHS administration requirements including incident portal updating, risk control implementation, various reporting

This role is also a support function for the Portfolio Director of People & Culture, CP Hotels – New Zealand and Fiji. It is a great opportunity to get involved in wider Portfolio based projects and support your People & Culture colleagues at our other properties when they need assistance.

 

Qualifications

 

  • A desire to grow within the People & Culture realm and expand on an HR generalist skillset
  • Previous HR experience in a support, administrative or coordinator role is preferred however administrative experience is key
  • Previous experience working in a hotel or hospitality setting is highly valued
  • Workplace Health and Safety administrative experience or exposure is highly advantageous
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive working relationships across all levels of the business
  • Solid organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
