POSITION SUMMARY
Recreation Attendant (Pool & Beach)
This position requires a well-organized and efficient lady or gentleman with good communication skills and excellent customer service skills. Must possess an outgoing personality, be highly energetic and love being around and engaging with guests. The main priorities are guest engagement, anticipating the needs of guest, providing extraordinary comfort and wellbeing. Other primary responsibilities include maintaining the highest levels of cleanliness, safety and comfort, towel and chair/cabana service, serving of daily resort amenities, providing information about the Resort and The Cayman Islands. Obtain, fold, and stack towels according to company procedures. Conduct inventory of supplies, materials, and equipment and inform supervisor/manager of low supply items. Conduct and lead various recreational activities for all ages such as table tennis, play station tournaments, board games etc.
The ideal candidate should have:
· Previous guest service skills in a luxury resort (preferred)
· Ability to work outside all day and during extreme weather conditions
· Excellent communication skills in English
· Keen attention to detail
· Strong team player
· Experience working with children (care, comfort and entertainment)
· CPR, First Aid and Waters Rescue skills/certification an asset
· Must be able to lift, pull or push items of up to 50 lbs.
· Ability to work a flexible scheduled including evenings, weekends and holidays
Encourage, recruit, register, and schedule guests to participate in recreation activities. Promote a fun and relaxing atmosphere for guests. Provide information to guests about available recreation facilities and activities. Promote the rules and regulations of the recreation facility intended for the safety and welfare of guests and members. Observe activity in the recreational facility and respond appropriately in accordance with local operating procedure in the event of an emergency. Be aware of possible situations where guests are not able to safely participate in an activity and inform supervisor/manager.
