The Director of Engineering is responsible for leading the Engineering Department to ensure the safe, efficient, and uninterrupted operation of all hotel facilities, equipment, and infrastructure. The role oversees preventive maintenance, engineering projects, renovations, energy management, and compliance with local regulations while supporting the resort’s operational and financial objectives.

• Lead and manage the daily operations of the Engineering Department.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for all hotel equipment and facilities.
• Ensure the efficient operation of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical systems, kitchen and laundry equipment, swimming pools, and water treatment systems.
• Maintain all fire & life safety systems in compliance with local regulations and company standards.
• Plan, supervise, and monitor renovation, refurbishment, and capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects.
• Prepare and manage the departmental operating and capital budgets.
• Monitor utility consumption and implement sustainability and energy conservation initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with government regulations, health & safety standards, environmental requirements, and hotel policies.
• Conduct regular inspections to maintain the highest standards of maintenance and safety throughout the resort.
• Collaborate with all operating departments to provide timely engineering support and minimize operational disruptions.
• Manage relationships with contractors, suppliers, and service providers.
• Recruit, coach, develop, and evaluate engineering team members to build a high-performing department.
• Prepare engineering reports, maintenance schedules, and performance analyses for the Executive Committee.
