As our events keep growing, so does our team and we are looking for Conference and Events Operations Supervisor to join us for some of our biggest events yet in a full-time, hands-on, fast-paced role.

 

Job Description

 

You will be:

  • Assisting in organising and controlling the day-to-day operations of our large-volume, award-winning conference and catering facilities
  • Delivering smooth, efficient and courteous service to guests throughout all functions
  • Maintaining clear, consistent and up-to-date communication to ensure all relevant departments understand their responsibilities in relation to daily function activities
  • Liaising closely with the culinary team to coordinate the day’s activities
  • Supervising, and assisting with the training and development of our ambassadors
  • Contributing to the banquets leadership team and helping to drive team engagement

 

Qualifications

 

  • Previous experience within a hotel events, banquets or conference and events team is highly desirable
  • Strong working knowledge of banquets, functions and events service styles and standards
  • A genuine passion for service excellence, with a strong desire to continually learn and grow
  • Excellent organisational, time-management and communication skills
  • A strong guest-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering memorable experiences
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including early mornings, evenings and weekends, in line with a rotating roster
  • Current RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certification is essential
