Utility Engineer

POSITION SUMMARY

 

Technical Requirements:
Technical training in Refrigeration, Electromechanics, Electrotechnics, or a related field.
Solid experience with direct expansion systems, chillers, cooling towers, and air handling units (AHUs).
Ability to read mechanical blueprints and operate Building Management Systems (BMS).
Fault diagnosis for electric motors, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and HVAC control panels.
Knowledge of regulations regarding refrigerant gases and environmental safety.
Basic knowledge of plumbing and general mechanics.
Primary Function:

Perform installation, preventive maintenance, and corrective maintenance on the hotel’s HVAC, refrigeration, and ventilation systems to ensure thermal comfort and operational energy efficiency.
Specific Responsibilities:

Preventive maintenance of air conditioning units in guest rooms and function spaces.
Identification and repair of leaks, compressor failures, and heat exchange system issues.
Cleaning and maintenance of filters and ductwork to ensure air quality.
Monitoring parameters to optimize electricity consumption.
Prioritizing GXP reports to improve GSS metrics.
Strict application of LOTO protocols and use of PPE.
Maintaining technical logs and handling refrigerant charging.
Collaborating with the team and adhering to quality standards.
