Learning & Development Manager

Additional Information: This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, CDL HBT Oceanic Maldives Private Limited. The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International, Inc.  The franchisee solely controls all aspects of the hotel’s employment policies and practices, including hiring, firing, discipline, staffing, compensation, benefits, and all other terms and conditions of employment.  If you accept a position at this hotel, you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International, Inc.

 

Job Summary:

Responsible for designing, delivering, and continuously improving property-wide training programmes, leading onboarding, brand orientation, and service-excellence induction. Promote training initiatives across departments, manage the digital learning platform and reporting, identify performance gaps, and recommend targeted development solutions.

Collaborate with department leaders to assess team skills and training needs, use guest feedback and satisfaction results to determine training priorities, monitor attendance and programme effectiveness, and support the development of the Learning Coordinator and training team. Ensure all training programmes align with company guidelines, service standards, and overall business objectives.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, HR, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum 3–4 years’ experience in L&D, Training, or HR within a luxury hotel or resort
  • Certified trainer or relevant L&D qualification preferred
  • Strong knowledge of hospitality service standards and adult learning principles
  • Experience managing digital learning platforms and employee engagement initiatives
  • Excellent facilitation, presentation, and communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills with ability to plan,
  • deliver, and evaluate programmes
  • Ability to inspire and motivate teams across all levels
  • Collaborative and people-first approach to leadership
  • Comfortable working with HR and executive stakeholders
