Labour Relations Manager

What will your mission be?

 

To ensure efficient and equitable labor management, protecting both the company’s interests and employees’ rights. This includes managing the disciplinary system, supporting legal proceedings, implementing equality policies, and maintaining communication with public bodies and works councils.

 

What will your duties be?

 

As part of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring proper management of labor relations, guaranteeing compliance with current regulations, and providing strategic support to the organization. Your main responsibilities will include:

 

  • Manage disciplinary procedures and provide advice on labor relations matters.
  • Provide support in the preparation of legal proceedings and labor inspections.
  • Process and instruct harassment protocols and collaborate in the implementation and monitoring of the Equality Plan.
  • Manage changes to working conditions (adaptations of working hours, leaves of absence, suspensions of contract, substantial modifications, irregular working hours, among others).
  • Participation in personnel subrogation processes.
  • Participate in the management and processing of temporary employment regulation files (ERTE).
  • Act as an intermediary with public bodies (ITSS, SMAC, INSS, SEPE and Labor Authority).
  • Provide ongoing advice to various departments on labor matters, preparing reports and legal documentation when necessary.
  • Manage the relationship with the Works Councils and coordinate communication with external advisors and firms.
  • Identify and mitigate occupational risks related to regulatory compliance and labor relations.
  • Review and validate labor clauses in contracts and other documents.

 

What requirements are we looking for?

 

  • University degree in Law ( essential ).
  • Postgraduate training or specialization in Labor Law or Labor Relations will be valued.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar position, preferably in service companies with a large workforce.
  • Advanced level of English (desirable).

What knowledge and skills are needed?

  • Solid knowledge in Labor Law and individual and collective labor relations.
  • Experience in disciplinary procedures, negotiation with the legal representation of workers, labor inspections and regulatory compliance.
  • Analytical skills, organization, and results orientation.
  • Communication, negotiation and influence skills to work with different interlocutors.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and tools specific to the role.
  • High level of integrity, discretion and confidentiality.
