Our Resort has an exciting opportunity for an experienced hospitality sales professional to join our dynamic team!
This individual will be responsible for guestroom, meeting and ancillary revenues. Duties also include strategic management of assigned territory, conducting site inspections, soliciting and generating new business and management of repeat business. As a member of our team, we also regularly interact with operations staff to ensure high level of customer satisfaction.
This position is at the resort in Henderson, NV. It cannot be performed remotely.
Qualifications:
The best candidates will possess excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and should present a professional appearance. The position requires a minimum of 3 years of resort sales experience in an upscale resort brand. The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a Group Sales Manager in a similar size resort of similar quality. He or she must have a proven record of excellence through meeting or exceeding annual goals, as well as a history of going above and beyond with customer service.
Candidates should have the ability to self-motivate, be a strong team player, and be willing to learn. Excellent relationship-building and negotiating skills, exceptional follow-through, strong organizational skills and strong time-management skills are required.
Job Summary:
The Senior Sales Manager will be required to utilize PC applications, including property management systems, database and Microsoft Office products. Additionally, the candidate will also have strong communication skills and be able to properly represent the resort by meeting the standards for timely follow up with customers, prospects and lead referrals. Excellent organizational skills are necessary to be successful in this position, as well as detail orientation. Knowledge of Marriott CI-TY systems a plus.
Polished and professional presentation skills are required – candidate must be able to represent the resort in a professional manner at trade shows, networking events and through excellent written and verbal communication and etiquette. Additionally, a thorough understanding and knowledge of resort operations is also necessary, as is the ability to work a flexible work schedule.
