Join Our Finance Team

We are looking for a detail-oriented and commercially minded Accounting Manager – Balance Sheet & Audit to join our UK finance team. Based in Glasgow, this role supports three distinctive hotels across the Accor portfolio: Ibis Glasgow, Ibis Edinburgh, and the luxury Sofitel London St James.

Reporting to the Financial Director, you will play a key role in ensuring the integrity of our financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, managing balance sheet reconciliations, supporting audits, and contributing to the financial success of our hotels.

What You’ll Be Doing

As our Accounting Manager – Balance Sheet & Audit, you will:

• Lead monthly balance sheet reconciliations across all hotel entities.
• Ensure assets and liabilities are accurately recorded and reconciled.
• Monitor internal controls and identify any risks or discrepancies.
• Manage fixed asset accounting, depreciation schedules, and work-in-progress tracking.
• Prepare bank reconciliations and support cash flow forecasting.
• Assist with annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Coordinate and support external audits, year-end accounts, and statutory reporting requirements.
• Prepare draft financial statements and consolidated financial reporting.
• Review VAT accounts and support tax compliance activities.
• Ensure government filings, taxes, and other financial obligations are completed accurately and on time.
• Collaborate with General Managers, Department Heads, Front Office teams, auditors, banking partners, and corporate stakeholders.
• Provide guidance and training to colleagues involved in balance sheet processes.
• Support continuous improvement of financial systems, controls, and procedures.
