About the job

The Director of Housekeeping is responsible for leading all housekeeping operations across the hotel, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation and guest satisfaction. Reporting to the Director of Rooms, this role plays a key part in delivering Mandarin Oriental’s legendary quality standards while driving operational excellence, colleague engagement and financial performance.

As Director of Housekeeping, you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Lead all housekeeping operations, ensuring exceptional cleanliness, presentation and compliance with brand and quality standards.
• Inspire, develop and empower colleagues through coaching, training and succession planning.
• Drive guest satisfaction, quality assurance and continuous operational improvement.
• Manage departmental budgets, payroll, productivity, inventory and cost control.
• Partner with Front Office, Engineering, Laundry and People & Culture to ensure seamless operations and outstanding guest experiences.
• Oversee preventive maintenance coordination, linen management, equipment and departmental resources.
