Assistant Engineer

• Function as primary support to Director of Engineering including activities in department budgets, capital expenditures, rooms preventive maintenance and energy conservation
• Oversee the day to day operations of the engineering and related departments
• Primary contact to communicate and coordinate work from other departments
• Assist Director of Engineering with developing and managing all engineering associates
• Ensure regulatory compliance to facility regulations and safety standards
• Interact with engineering staff, vendors, regional/area engineering staff and various department associates
• Supervise the human resources in the department to attract, retain and motivate the staff; hire, train, develop, empower, coach and counsel, conduct performance and salary reviews, resolve problems, provide open communication vehicles, discipline and terminate, as appropriate.
