Assistant Financial Controller

Purpose

As a Assistant Financial Controller, you’ll partner closely with the Financial Controller and General Manager, ownership and Leadership to the team to deliver exceptional financial performance, ensure compliance.  This role is perfect for a commercially minded finance professional who thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments and bring a strategic yet hands-on approach.

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead the finance function across all hotel operations (rooms, food and beverage, events, and more)
• Strategic Financial Management, Partner with the General Manager and Owners to drive Profitability, develop comprehensive budget, forecast and provide insightful financial analysis to guide business decisions.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, internal controls, and company policies.
• Manage and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of accuracy, accountability and continuous improvement.
• Partner with department heads to maximise revenue, manage costs, and drive profitability.

Skills and Experience

• A strong understanding of hotel operations, revenue management, and F&B cost controls.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proven experience in a senior finance role within hospitality, hotels or a related industry
• Strategic thinker with ability to get hands-on when required.
• Strong personal integrity, and the ability to manage a large volume of workload to meet tight deadlines.
