Associate Director of Sales

We have an exciting opportunity for an accomplished Portfolio Associate Director of Sales to join our dynamic Sales & Marketing leadership team, overseeing a diverse portfolio of two high-performing hotels in Melbourne.

This role is ideal for a strategic, commercially driven sales leader who thrives in multi-property environments and is passionate about driving revenue, building strong partnerships and mentoring high-performing sales teams.

The Portfolio:

Novotel Melbourne South Wharf – an eye-catching golden 26 level tower incorporating 347 accommodation rooms & suites, Mr. Carpano Dining and Bar and Allora Café. This four star hotel is complemented with direct access to the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre (MCEC), the Southern Hemisphere’s largest meeting space and is adjacent to the popular DFO shopping centre with 180+ retail brands.

Job Description

 

As Portfolio Associate Director of Sales, you will support the Portfolio Director of Sales & Marketing in leading the overall sales strategy across the portfolio. You will manage key accounts, identify new revenue opportunities, drive sales performance and work closely with revenue management and operations teams to maximise market share and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a portfolio of key corporate, inbound and wholesale accounts
  • Identify, research and secure new business opportunities across both properties
  • Support the development and execution of sales budgets, forecasts and strategic sales plans
  • Collaborate closely with Revenue Management to optimise ADR, occupancy and total hotel revenue
  • Drive business development activity, including sales calls, account reviews and ROI reporting
  • Develop a strategic plan for identifying major account and business opportunities in all market segments and thereby broadening the account base
  • Coach, mentor and support the sales team to achieve KPIs and grow capability
  • Collaborate closely with the hotel’s operational teams to uphold service excellence
  • Ensure consistent use of Accor systems and adherence to brand standards and values
  • Represent the hotels and Accor at industry events, trade shows and networking functions
  • Have a complete understanding of the Hotel sales vision; its products, services, and rate structure to fulfil business objectives
