Support the Public Areas Manager in all administrative and operational responsibilities. This includes ensuring that guest rooms and public areas meet hotel standards, managing inventory and supplies, implementing cleaning procedures, and coordinating with other departments. 

Functions

• Ensure adequate coverage and supervision of cleaning sections at all times.  

• Ensure that all rooms are prepared and inspected according to cleaning standards 

• Assist the Public Areas Manager in the daily supervision of cleaning staff. 

• Assign tasks and supervise the work of the chambermaids or cleaners 

• Manage the staff under your charge and assign the daily workload in each case. 

• Implement the relevant Public Areas procedures related to cleaning.  

• He is responsible for and ensures the training of new employees. 

• Ensure that all procedures for the management and handling of bedding and uniforms are respected. 

• Ensure that there is an adequate stock level for the proper functioning of the cleaning department and ensure replenishments accordingly. 

• Regularly review the night shift for cleaning.  

• Share highlights of daily activity with the Housekeeping Manager, including internal and external customer incidents.   

• Assist the Public Areas Manager in fulfilling administrative responsibilities 

• Ensure close coordination with reception, food and beverage, and guest relations regarding both routine and unusual guest requests. Additionally, be aware of all VIPs visiting or staying at the hotel. Personally inspect VIP rooms. 

• Handle any customer complaints professionally, taking ownership of them and resolving them effectively, or provide support in conflict resolution.  

• Ensure strict control of room keys and section keys.
