Situated in the heart of the Perth CBD on Murray Street, ibis Perth features 192 guest rooms, extensive conference facilities catering for up to 200 guests, and our newly revamped dining concept, Chelsea Social (comprising Chelsea Bar and Dining Hall). Located just steps from Raine Square, RAC Arena, and Perth Station, our vibrant kitchen team caters to hotel guests, local walk-ins, and corporate events year-round.

**Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities:**

As a Commis Chef, you’ll be at the heart of the action! Here’s what you’ll be getting up to:

• **Prep like a pro** – Assist with food preparation across à la carte, breakfast buffets, and breakfast service, learning techniques from our experienced chefs
• **Keep it spotless** – Maintain impeccable kitchen hygiene and food safety standards (we’re serious about this, and so should you!)
• **Be a kitchen ninja** – Support senior chefs in delivering consistently high-quality dishes that wow our guests
• **Roll up your sleeves** – Jump into the fast-paced kitchen environment, tackling whatever comes your way with enthusiasm and teamwork
• **Learn and grow** – Soak up knowledge from your team, ask questions, and develop your culinary skills in a supportive atmosphere
• **Stay organised** – Keep your station tidy, manage your time effectively, and work seamlessly with the rest of the brigade

**What We’re Looking For:**

You’ll be a great fit if you’ve got:

• Some kitchen experience under your belt (or you’re fresh out of your apprenticeship and ready to dive in!)
• Hands-on experience with à la carte, breakfast buffets, and breakfast service
• A genuine love for food and the drive to create quality dishes that impress
• A can-do attitude and genuine enthusiasm to learn from the team around you
• Reliability, flexibility, and punctuality—we know we can count on you
• The ability to thrive in a buzzing, fast-paced kitchen environment where teamwork is everything
• A solid grasp of food safety and hygiene standards (because we take that seriously!)
