We are looking for a Full Time Director of Engineering to lead our skilled and high performing Engineering team. As the head of Engineering, you will be responsible for ensuring optimal performance of all building systems while driving operational efficiency, safety, and sustainability.

In this critical leadership role, you will be required to lead a team to success through managing day to day system operation and maintenance routines of the property, and feel empowered to make an impact. Additional responsibilities are outlined below:

• Oversee all preventative maintenance repairs whilst showcasing your creative and innovative skills
• Create, develop and maintain strong relationships with key contractors and clients for equipment and relationship building
• Managing the engineering maintenance team and supporting them with operational tasks
• Actively identify, conduct and manage repairs to the building and equipment
• Oversee building & service standards and identify and implement improvement initiatives, setting the pace in the industry
• Ensure you and the team uphold all company policies and procedures whilst demonstrating the W Service Promise

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have the below qualities and experience:

• Relevant managerial experience in general maintenance, property maintenance in hotels, facilities, residential or commercial.
• Enthusiastic to escalate your career
• Self-motivated, driven and energized in a fast-paced environment
• Armed with smart solutions and a can-do attitude
• Trade background is highly regarded but not a requirement for the role.
• Ability to lead a team effectively
• Personality PLUS you thrive working in a fast-paced environment
• Exceptional organisational and time management skills
• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
