About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental, Milan within the Finance Department in Milan, the Finance intern is supporting the supplier accountant officer and cost controller. The Finance intern reports to the Director of Finance.

As Finance Intern, you will be responsible for the following duties:

• To assist in processing invoices, payments, and expense reports in accordance with established procedures
• To support accounts receivable activities, including billing, follow-up, and collections
• To assist in maintaining accurate financial records and documentation
• To support the preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations
• To assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports and management analysis
• To support budget tracking and assist in variance analysis
• To assist in internal audits and compliance processes
• To collaborate with operational departments to ensure accurate financial reporting
• To support communication between finance and other departments
• To assist in maintaining financial databases, trackers, and documentation
• To support preparation of purchase requests and payment authorizations
• To ensure proper filling and organization of financial records
• To carry out any additional duties as required to support Finance operations

As Finance Intern, we expect from you: 

• To be currently studying or recently graduated in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
• To communicate effectively in both English and Italian, written and verbal
• To have basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
• To exhibit a proactive, organized, and professional approach
• To show strong numerical ability and accuracy in handling financial data
• To demonstrate the ability to manage multiple tasks in a structured manner
• To maintain confidentiality and integrity when handling financial information
• To demonstrate good teamwork and communication skills
• To comply with MOHG Pillars, LQEs, and Guiding principles
