Fitness & Wellness Intern

Based at Mandarin Oriental, Jakarta, the Fitness & Wellness Intern will support the hotel’s wellness and recreation facilities, ensuring guests and colleagues enjoy a safe, clean, and energizing environment. This role contributes to maintaining high standards in fitness areas, poolside, and public wellness spaces, while promoting a culture of health and wellbeing. The intern reports to the Fitness & Wellness Manager and collaborates with the Fitness & Wellness team.

As Fitness & Wellness Intern, you will be responsible for the following duties:

Facility Operations

• Assist in monitoring fitness center, pool, and public wellness areas to ensure cleanliness and safety.
• Support daily setup and closure routines, including equipment checks and towel service.
• Maintain inventory of wellness supplies and amenities.

Guest Engagement

• Provide courteous assistance to guests using fitness and wellness facilities.
• Share information about wellness programs, classes, and spa offerings.
• Support in organizing wellness events or activities.

Administration & Communication

• Coordinate with Housekeeping and Engineering for facility upkeep.

Additional Responsibilities

• Perform other tasks as required to support the Fitness & Wellness department.

As Fitness & Wellness Intern, we expect from you:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Hospitality Management, Sports Science, Wellness, or related field.
• Strong interest in fitness, wellness, and guest service within the hospitality industry.
• Good command of English and interpersonal communication skills.
• Energetic, service-oriented, and attentive to detail.
• Detail-oriented, analytical, and able to work with precision.
