We’re looking for a detail-oriented and reliable General Maintenance Technician to join our team at Grand Mercure Mysore, India. In this role, you’ll play a vital part in keeping our facilities safe, functional, and well-maintained. You’ll perform a diverse range of maintenance tasks, from troubleshooting equipment to installing fixtures, ensuring that our environment remains secure and welcoming for all who use it. Job Description Supervise Maintenance and production of all items need to paint and furniture in the facility. Keep the technical services workshop up and running. Care for and repair all items need to paint in the facility. Perform tasks assigned by his/her manager that are related to the department and position. Take part in any work that requires the full participation of the Technical Service Department. Supervise Scrape, sandpaper, prime, or seal surfaces prior to painting in the facility. Repair any problems with keys and locks. Work on a shift basis and start the shift on time. Keep the work space clean and ensure that it is cleaned after the work is complete. Must always look clean and proper and wear a uniform. Carry out other reasonable tasks that may be requested. Work according to the policies, procedures and instructions identified by the Chief Engineer Take part in the Emergency Response Team. Carry out all responsibilities related to the quality management systems implemented at the facilities. Carry out all other duties assigned by managers and hotel management not specified in the job description. Must take all measures required for occupational and worker health and comply with all measures taken. Qualifications Education: At least a primary school or equivalent diploma. Experience: At least 3 years of practical experience required by the job. Foreign Language: Not required. Courses and Training: Not required. Computer Literacy: Not required. Skills: Expected to use basic tools and equipment related to the job.
