Sofitel Barú Calablanca Beach Resort is seeking an exceptional General Manager to lead its next chapter.

Located on Colombia’s breathtaking Caribbean coast, Sofitel Barú is a destination where French art de vivre meets the vibrant energy of the Caribbean. We are looking for an inspiring, commercially driven and highly visible leader who will elevate every aspect of the guest journey while driving strong business performance and fostering an engaged, high-performing team.

Your mission

• Deliver exceptional guest experiences while preserving the elegance and authenticity of the Sofitel brand.
• Lead all aspects of resort operations, ensuring excellence across Rooms, Food & Beverage, Spa, Recreation and Events.
• Drive commercial performance through strong financial leadership, revenue optimization and strategic business development.
• Build trusted relationships with ownership, local authorities, partners and the surrounding community.
• Inspire, coach and develop a culture of excellence, engagement and accountability across the resort.
• Act as the face of the resort, representing Sofitel at key industry events, commercial missions and within the local luxury community.

What we’re looking for

• Proven experience as a General Manager within an international luxury hotel or resort.
• Previous experience leading a luxury resort with significant Food & Beverage, leisure and events operations.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen with a demonstrated ability to drive sustainable results.
• Outstanding leadership skills with a passion for developing talent and building high-performing teams.
• Experience managing owner relationships and multiple stakeholders in a luxury hospitality environment.
• A visible, charismatic and hands-on leader who enjoys being present with guests, teams and partners.
• Ability to balance operational excellence with creativity, innovation and brand positioning.
• Fluency in both English and Spanish is mandatory. French is a strong advantage.
• Willingness to embrace the local culture while embodying Sofitel’s French art de vivre.
