The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International, Inc. and its subsidiary companies (collectively, “Marriott”). Vista Investments is looking for a hands-on General Manager to run our Vagabond Inn in downtown Sacramento today and lead its conversion to a City Express by Marriott. The conversion is targeted for completion around March 2027.

This is two jobs at once. The hotel stays open throughout the renovation, so you keep it running well: guests served, revenue protected and the team steady while work goes on around them. At the same time, you prepare the hotel and its people for Marriott: brand standards, systems, training and certification. After the reflag, you own the City Express’s results.

The hotel sits a few blocks from Old Sacramento’s riverfront, near the Capitol, Golden 1 Center and the convention center, drawing government, business, event and leisure travelers.
