POSITION SUMMARY

Guest Environment Expert / Turndown Attendant

Clean and maintain all corridors, elevators, landings, and service areas on guest room floors, ensuring hotel’s standards of cleanliness.  Provide linen supplies for Room Attendants and stock floor closets with Linen and Supplies .Deliver and retrieve items requested by guests and Night Manager. Shift varies and may include overnight shift. Will assist the housekeeping and laundry teams in the following tasks:

KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Removing garbage, stripping linen and assist in bed making in heavy turn around days.
• Sort linen by kind (terry and flatwork pieces).
• Filling and sanitizing re-usable bathroom amenities
• Packing closets with linen according to par levels previously set.
• Distribute linen and other items to housekeeping pantries. Maintain line pantries clean and organized.
• Perform general cleaning of all guestroom surfaces to include tub, wall tile, hard floors, walls, windows, mirrors
• Vacuum/mop sweep/damp mop/spot clean/spray buffing of floor surfaces, using machinery as required.
• High and low dust (including skirting boards/window ledges/curtain rails/notice boards/picture frames/furniture/doors and door stays)
• Vacuum carpeted areas, daily removal of spots or stains, and shampooing of carpets using machinery on housekeeping supervisor instruction.
• Damp clean all telephones.
• Flipping Inspecting and steam cleaning mattress and other upholster goods.
• Clean baths, showers, and sinks, polish all chromium fittings.
• Assist with curtain changing and upholstery cleaning.
• Waxing, stripping and buffing all assigned floors.
• Polishing floors and carpet extraction
• Shift varies and may include Overnight Shifts

The Ideal Candidate must have:

• Previous experience in Housekeeping industrial cleaning.
• Previous experience in stone, hardwood floors and carpet care treatment.
• Ability to lift 80 pounds, pull, and push heavy objects.
• Flexibility on the schedule and able to work different shifts, including overnight when required.
• Knowledge of proper chemical handling.
• Prior guest relations training.
• High school graduate or equivalent vocational training.
