Here’s what you’ll do during a typical day:

• General Maintenance:  Perform day-to-day general maintenance duties within the hotel.
• Maintenance Response: Respond promptly to maintenance issues and emergency calls.
• Inspections: Conduct regular inspection tours of the hotel to ensure all operating equipment is working correctly.
• Painting and Decorating: Carry out painting, decorating tasks as directed.
• Engineering Projects:  Work closely with the Engineering Team on any projects or schedules.
• Tools & Equipment: Maintain all tools, equipment, and work areas in proper condition.
• Health & Safety:  Follow all Health & Safety rules within the Department and the hotel.
• Guest Service:  Demonstrate exceptional customer service when engaging with Guests.
• Mechanical Functions: Perform mechanical functions on company vehicles.
• Additional Duties: Perform any other tasks as requested by the Chief Engineer to ensure the smooth operation of the hotel.

In addition, this role requires the following minimum qualifications:

• Previous maintenance experience, preferably in a hotel or a similar varied work environment
• Experience working in a team environment
• All round Maintenance ability
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work without close supervision and within the established timeframes
• Strong work ethic
