What will I be doing?

As the Hotel Accountant, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Prepare month end journal vouchers and send to the general ledger.
• Assist in preparation and analysis of month-end management reports both P&L, Balance Sheet and Cashflow.
• Complete the monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Contribute to the weekly and monthly forecasting and annual budgeting process.
• Review and issue daily revenue / payroll report.
• Prepare and submit the required statutory reports including (but not limited to), GST Return, PAYE Return, Kiwi Saver, FBT, NRWT and Statistics NZ
• Ensure proper permits and licenses have been obtained for such matters as importation, currency transfers and hotel operations (bars, gaming etc.). Take responsibility for the safekeeping and updating of all leases and contracts, which may affect the financial status of the hotel.
• Liaise and co-operate with both Internal and External Audit. Ensure that an effective program of in-hotel audit is in place and that corrective action is promptly taken where required. Give particularhttps://jobs.hilton.com/apac/en/job/HOT0CITM/Hotel-Accountant
