Hotel Manager

In the tiny beachside village of Palm Cove, just 30 minutes north of Cairns you will find Mantra Amphora; sitting directly across from pristine beaches and renowned palm trees. Offering all offerings of a tropical lifestyle, Mantra Amphora comprises of one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments and hotel rooms, as well as a lagoon pool and heated spa. You will never be wondering what to do on your day off, from relaxing and unwinding with beach walks and local cuisine, to adrenaline-filled activities such as snorkelling, visiting the famous Hartley’s Crocodile farm or even Bungee jumping.

Purpose 

As Hotel Manager, you will take on the crucial task of overseeing and managing all daily operations on property, guaranteeing its seamless and profitable function. This position demands a keen focus on every department, requiring you to be actively engaged in operations and that of stakeholder management. Your leadership will shine through your own actions, as you guide, coach, and mentor your team, fostering a culture of unwavering excellence.

The Role and Location

• This is a live on-site position, package includes a spacious 3-bedroom apartment situated at Mantra Amphora, serving as the designated residence for the Hotel Manager.
• Offering a base salary $100,000, contingent upon experience
• Prior experience in strata management will be highly recommended, as you closely collaborate with body corporate, ensuring the smooth functioning of all properties

Primary Responsibilities

• Manage all facets of the property including revenue management, recruiting & training, customer service and achievement of financial targets
• Be responsible for leading and developing your team to ensure the hotel’s profitability and success
• Be instrumental in driving changes and improvements in performance and implementing strategies in line with business objectives
• Create and build strong relationships with key stakeholders, property owners, guests and regional shared services
• Maintain excellent product and service standards whilst maximising revenue and balancing expenses
• Focus on recruiting and developing a team that is engaged in driving a positive customer sentiment
• Act as a liaison within the local community, representing Accor and fostering community engagement

Skills and Experience

• Prior experience as a Department or Operational Manager within an accommodation provider environment
• Strong understanding of Hotel Rooms Division Management
• Display confidence in your ability to cultivate strong relationships, effectively address challenging situations, and implement solutions that enhance service quality
• Expertise in overseeing workforce management, including staffing optimization and productivity enhancement
• You set a precedent through personal conduct and thrives in the midst of active involvement
• Past experience working with body corporates in an MLR setting is desirable
