We’re looking for a Labor Relations Manager to ensure excellent and consistent management of labor relations at Meliá Hotels International , promoting a positive work environment, regulatory compliance, and social dialogue, in line with the company’s values.

 

Main mission

 

  • Lead and coordinate the Labor Relations strategy for Madrid, ensuring its alignment with Meliá’s vision and culture.
  • To act as the main interlocutor with legal representation of workers , unions and official bodies.
  • Manage and negotiate collective agreements , company agreements and labor pacts, ensuring a balance between business sustainability and employee well-being.
  • Advise management and HR teams on labor legislation, interpretation of agreements and conflict management .
  • Oversee disciplinary procedures, dismissals, sanctions and individual or collective conflicts , minimizing legal and reputational risks.
  • Coordinate the relationship with external advisors and labor law firms.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to labor relations, litigation, and social climate.
  • Ensure the correct application of internal policies and their updating in accordance with legislative changes.
  • Actively participate in cross-cutting cultural projects, contributing expert insights in labor relations.
  • To promote a culture of dialogue, respect, diversity and compliance , in accordance with Meliá’s purpose.

 

What are we looking for in you?

 

Training

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in law, labor relations, or similar.
  • Master’s degree or postgraduate training in labor law or human resources is desirable.

 

Experience

 

  • Solid experience (minimum 3 years) in labor relations positions, preferably in corporate, multinational or hospitality sector environments.
  • Extensive experience in collective bargaining and union management.
  • In-depth knowledge of Spanish labor legislation.

 

Languages

 

  • Native Spanish speaker.
  • Advanced English (essential for international corporate environment).
