Job Mission

The Lifeguard at Meliá Durres is responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of guests at the hotel’s swimming pool and beach areas. This role is crucial in maintaining a safe environment, preventing accidents, and providing immediate assistance in emergencies, thereby contributing to the overall guest experience and the hotel’s reputation.

What You Will Do

• Monitor Pool and Beach Areas: Constantly observe guests in the swimming pool and beach areas to ensure their safety. Identify potential hazards and take preventive measures.
• Emergency Response: Provide immediate assistance in case of emergencies, including performing CPR and first aid as needed. Ensure all safety equipment is readily available and functional.
• Enforce Rules: Enforce pool and beach rules to prevent accidents and ensure a safe environment for all guests. Communicate rules clearly and politely to guests.
• Maintain Cleanliness: Ensure the cleanliness and tidiness of the pool and beach areas. Report any maintenance issues to the relevant department.
• Guest Interaction: Engage with guests to provide information about pool and beach services, answer questions, and ensure their comfort and satisfaction.
• Training and Compliance: Stay updated with lifeguard training and certifications. Comply with all health and safety regulations and hotel policies.

What We Are Looking For

• Previous experience as a lifeguard, preferably in a hotel or resort setting.
• Strong swimming abilities, excellent observation skills, and proficiency in CPR and first aid.
• Attentive, responsible, and guest-focused personality. Ability to remain calm and act quickly in emergencies.
• Valid lifeguard certification and first aid/CPR certification.
• Albanian proficiency and basic English.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations related to pool and beach areas.
