Job Mission:  To ensure the proper functioning, maintenance, and safety of the hotel facilities by performing assigned technical tasks in accordance with Meliá’s quality, safety, and efficiency standards. Your work is key to ensuring seamless hotel operations and an exceptional guest experience.

What will you have to do?

1. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance  following the instructions of the Engineering Manager and complying with the hotel’s quality, time, safety and aesthetic standards.
2. To detect, report and propose improvements  that increase operational efficiency and contribute to the proper functioning of the facilities.
3. Ensure compliance with technical and legal regulations , performing assigned tasks according to established procedures.
4. Participate in the fire brigade , acting upon any alarm and following safety protocols to protect guests, employees and hotel assets.
5. Monitor energy consumption and inventory of the maintenance warehouse , ensuring efficient use of resources and good stock condition.
6. Address customer issues , providing a friendly and customer-focused service, communicating actions taken, and escalating when necessary.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a person with technical skills, a commitment to quality, and a service-oriented approach. Specifically:

• Technical training  related to maintenance (desirable).
• Minimum of 1 year’s experience  in similar positions, preferably in a hotel environment or similar facilities.
• Knowledge in:
  • Residential electricity.
  • Refrigeration.
  • Plumbing.
  • Safety regulations applied to facilities.
• Proficiency in using  digital reporting and tracking tools .
• Teamwork  and good communication.
• Focus on quality  and attention to detail.
• Customer focus  and ability to resolve issues.
• Local language depending on hotel location.
