Perform the nightly audit of all hotel transactions.
Verify and reconcile room revenue, food and beverage revenue, and other departmental charges.
Balance cash, credit card transactions, and other payment methods.
Identify and investigate discrepancies and report any irregularities.
Close the business day and roll over the property management system to the next day.
Prepare and distribute daily financial and operational reports to management.
Administrative Duties
Maintain accurate records and documentation of all overnight activities.
Complete required reports and logs.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Communicate important information and unresolved issues to the morning shift team.
Safety and Security
Monitor hotel security during overnight hours.
Respond appropriately to emergencies and incidents.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and security standards.
Coordinate with security personnel when necessary.
The Night Auditor is responsible for overseeing the Front Office operations during the night shift while ensuring the accuracy of all financial transactions and daily revenue records. The role combines guest service responsibilities with accounting and auditing duties to ensure a smooth transition between business days and the preparation of accurate financial reports.
