Job Description

 

The Reservations Manager is responsible for managing the hotel’s reservation operations, optimizing room inventory, maximizing revenue opportunities, and ensuring accurate and efficient handling of guest bookings. The role focuses on leading the reservations team, maintaining high service standards, coordinating with Sales and Revenue Management teams, and ensuring seamless guest booking experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Oversee daily operations of the Reservations Department and ensure smooth functioning.
  • Manage individual, group, corporate, and online reservations efficiently.
  • Ensure accurate processing of reservations, cancellations, amendments, and special requests.
  • Monitor reservation accuracy, room availability, and booking controls.
  • Ensure all reservations are handled according to hotel policies and brand standards.
  • Maintain high standards of guest communication and service.
  • Lead, mentor, and supervise the reservations team, providing coaching and performance feedback to ensure excellence.
  • Collaborate with Revenue Management and Sales teams to optimize room rates, occupancy levels, and revenue generation.
  • Manage reservation system operations, including system updates, data integrity, and technology troubleshooting.
  • Develop and implement training programs for reservations staff to enhance product knowledge and service delivery.
  • Generate and analyze reservation reports, occupancy metrics, and booking trends to inform strategic decisions.
  • Handle complex guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests with professionalism and resolution-focused approach.
