Senior Accountant

This is your chance to be a part of a dynamic and growing Finance team at Hilton’s Corporate Office in Bogotá, Colombia. Reporting to the Senior Manager Accounting, you will work with Regional Finance Leaders. As a critical business partner, you will manage all activities related to accounting, tax, forecasting, risk, asset and people management for this office.

What you’ll do during a typical day:

• Complete monthly financial close including journals, schedules and month end reports.
• Prepare general ledger account reconciliations (e.g., bank accounts, credit card activity, assets, and liabilities).
• Maintain accounts receivable and accounts payable – payments to domestic and international suppliers.
• Prepare payroll – support processing and control procedures.
• Monthly forecasting and review of departmental expenses.

How you’ll collaborate with others:

• You will work with important partners – including hotel and corporate leaders in Finance, Human Resources and Operations along with external partners such as auditors, tax advisors and legal. Your collaboration will involve reporting and data gathering, resolving queries, and supporting prompt decision-making.

Projects you’ll take ownership of:

• Annual Budget including Roster review and expense input for 19 departments.
• Prepare and support the filing of tax returns in compliance with Hilton and local statutory requirements.
• Support Compliance reviews including annual audits.

What It Takes to Make the Stay

You have these minimum qualifications:

• Professional qualification in Accounting.
• Three (3) to Five (5) years relevant work experience in similar role.
• English proficiency (written and spoken) required.
