Sous Chef – Banquets

As part of the culinary leadership team, you’ll help deliver extraordinary events — from high-profile conventions and exhibitions to elegant gala dinners for up to 1,400 guests. Working alongside a passionate Head Chef and talented kitchen brigade, you’ll play a key role in delivering innovative, high-quality cuisine at scale.

As Sous Chef, you’ll support the Head Chef in leading kitchen operations, mentoring the team and delivering exceptional food across a diverse range of events. This role is perfect for a creative, hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead daily kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food delivery for large-scale events.
• Mentor and develop junior chefs; assist with recruitment, rostering and payroll.
• Create and innovate menus for banquets and high-profile events.
• Manage food costs, budgets and inventory efficiently.
• Oversee the stewarding team to ensure smooth kitchen operations, cleanliness and compliance with hygiene standards.
• Maintain a safe, professional and positive kitchen culture.
