About the job
Based at the Mandarin Oriental, Milan within the SPA Department in Milan, the SPA Therapist is responsible for the treatments and massages of our guests. The SPA Therapist reports to the SPA Manager.
As SPA Therapist, you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Performs treatments on guests whilst maintaining the guest’s comfort at all times.
- Is on time for appointments and thoroughly reviews appointments after completing each treatment
- Keeps work area clean and neat at all times.
- Follows all Standards and Procedures.
- Ensures that a high standard of service is maintained throughout the Spa.
- Assists in the operations of all spa departments as required: Front Desk, Spa Retail Area, Relaxation Ares, Sales and Marketing, Spa Suite, In-room.
- Reports dysfunctional equipment to Head of Department.
- Maintains inventory of supplies for the operations of the treatment rooms.
- Maintains cleanliness and attention to detail in treatment room throughout the day.
- Attends daily line-ups, weekly and monthly spa meetings.
- Attends all training courses as deemed necessary.
- Recommends and up-sells spa products and services that fit the guests’ needs.
- Offers the highest level of personalized service while maintaining a gracious, enthusiastic, helpful an professional attitude with all guests and colleagues.
As SPA Therapist, we expect from you:
- Italian and English communication skills
- License in massage therapy and a certification in a cosmetology, aesthetic, or related field.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated.
