About Orient Express La Minerva

Considered as the beloved capital of the Orient Express legend, Rome is the first Orient Express hotel, La Minerva, in 2025. Orient Express has entrusted the interior architecture and artistic direction of the hotel Hugo Toro. The former Palazzo Fonseca is a sumptuous 17th-century palace with a huge, majestic façade. A place of memory still adorned with its Roman columns, sculptures by Rinaldo Rinaldi, a disciple of Canova, and the fascinating goddess Minerva. At the end of 2024, a new décor and interior inspired by the Roman domus and the riches of the “Eternal City” will be revealed with a new touch of contemporary elegance.

They will take care of the highest quality of all the services necessary for the perfect cleanliness of dishware, equipment and tools used to in restaurants and bars to serve Guests and to prepare their food & beverages experience in the events, banqueting, SPA and in the rooms/suites. Our plonge stewards’ professionalism is crucial to contribute to raise the standards in all the F&B outlets by operating in an impeccable way.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and tools, including the dishwashing machines, hand wash stations, pot-scrubbing stations and trash compactors.
• Monitor operating supplies and reduce spoilage and wastages,
• Ensure cleaning activities of all dishware and cutlery, glasses and wash pots, pans and other kitchen utensils according to performance standards.
• Inspect, pull, and stack cleaned items, constantly checking if any items need to be re-scrubbed and re-washed.
• Rack and spray all racked items with hot water to loosen and remove food residue.  Sort, soak, and wash/re-wash silverware.
• Ensure that clean wares are stored in appropriate areas and dispose of glass in the proper containers, following all the quality procedures.
