Responsibilities will include preparing and measuring ingredients, following recipes, and maintaining a clean and organized work area. You’ll also work closely with other team members to ensure that all orders are completed promptly and to the satisfaction of customers.
Creating pastries, baked goods and designing dessert menus.
Decorating and plating desserts according to appropriate designs and standards.
Design and decorate pastries using icing, glazes, and other toppings to enhance presentation.
Preparation and baking variety of pastries ensuring quality and safety standards are met.
Managing inventory and ordering supplies in strong coordination with the Sous Chef or Executive Chef
Standardizing, communicating pastry and bakery recipes while ensuring the bakery produces all items to the required standard
Monitoring food quality while preparing food and throughout the day utilizing the HACCP forms and production charts.
Previous work experience in hospitality industry with minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity.
Additional certification(s) from a reputable Culinary school will be an advantage
Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and presentation skills.
Creativity and attention to detail in dessert design and plating.
Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong leadership and teamwork skills.
Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
