Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Housekeeping Coordinator to join our team in Manama, Bahrain. As a key member of our housekeeping department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring exceptional cleanliness and guest satisfaction throughout our property.
- Manage and coordinate daily room attendant and house attendant assignments
- Organize, prioritize, and route housekeeping staff to ensure rooms are guest-ready by established check-in times
- Collaborate closely with room inspectors to update the hotel management system with accurate room statuses
- Communicate effectively with front desk staff to provide timely updates on room availability and fulfill special requests
- Oversee guest laundry delivery and coordinate with relevant departments
- Ensure all daily reports are completed accurately and on time
- Maintain open lines of communication with housekeeping leadership and other departments
- Monitor inventory levels and report low supplies to management
- Respond professionally to guest inquiries and concerns, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
- Promote a positive and collaborative work environment within the housekeeping team
Qualifications
- Previous housekeeping experience in a hotel or resort setting preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Proven problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in hotel management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Leadership experience or potential to guide and motivate a team
- Knowledge of housekeeping best practices and industry standards
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
- High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality management degree a plus
- Fluency in English; additional language skills beneficial
