Kitchen Porter

We can’t wait to open our first UK hotel outside of London…and where better than the characterful capital of Scotland, Edinburgh. We are now looking for a Kitchen Porter to join our team and play a crucial part in successfully launching our brand in this new neighbourhood. Reporting to the Head Chef, you’ll be responsible for ensuring a clean workspace and maintaining high standards in the kitchen and back of house areas.

The Hox in Edinburgh will boast 214 bedrooms influenced by the Georgian heritage of the building and city (including the introduction of a new room category for the Hox), a main restaurant and big lobby & bar, a large event space and The Apartment – our unique meetings and events concept.

What you’ll do…

• Be lightning fast. You like to help the kitchen in super-fast time.
• Grab your rubber gloves because you need to ensure the kitchen is spic and span.
• Make sure that our back of house and the pass is set up correctly and kept tidy at all times.
• Ensure food preparation sites are clean and ready.
• Unload food and equipment deliveries and keep the storage organised.
• Keep the kitchen spotless, cleaning cutlery, tableware, equipment, utensils, walls, ventilation and other, anything that needs it, on a daily basis.
• Communicate well with others in order to ensure a smooth operation.
