At InterContinental Sanctuary Cove Resort we are looking for full time Pool Technician / Handy Person to join our team.

Your day to day –

Under the direction of the Director of Engineering, and within limits of established IHG policies and procedures, ensure that general maintenance of the Resort’s pool, Lagoon, spa and fountains is carried out to achieve maximum guest satisfaction.

In addition, to carry out minor repair and maintenance work within the Resort as required, in a timely and professional manner.

• Be friendly, respectful, attentive and understanding to guests and colleagues.  Always promoting IHG and company values.
• Work with key stakeholders across the Resort to develop and maintain cohesive working relationships within immediate the immediate team and wider resort team.
• Complete all servicing requirements of each pool area, ensuring heating, circulation, de-humidifier systems are working effectively.
• Attending to filtration systems, and preforming routine preventative maintenance as required to make sure the pool areas are in good working order.  Including highlighting any damage or concerns to management.
• To be thoroughly familiar with all regulations regarding safety at work and Duty of Care, and observe these meticulously at all times.
• Ensure our IHG brand and company policies and procedures are upheld at all times.
• Assist the Engineering Department with any routine and maintenance duties as directed by the Director of Engineering.
• Cooperate and partner with management in the implementation of workplace health, safety and wellbeing related initiatives.
• Attend and participate in daily briefings, meetings and training sessions as scheduled.

What we need from you –

• Certificate IV Swimming Pools & Spa
• Demonstrated ability to interact with customers, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the hotel, the brand and the Company.
• Neat Personal Presentation and friendly persona
• Appropriate trade qualification
• Ability to work in a hands on environment
