Senior Sales Manager

Additional Information: This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, Greenwood Hospitality Group. The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International, Inc.  The franchisee solely controls all aspects of the hotel’s employment policies and practices, including hiring, firing, discipline, staffing, compensation, benefits, and all other terms and conditions of employment.  If you accept a position at this hotel, you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International, Inc.

Job Description
Sr Sales Manager
This position manages accounts to achieve guest satisfaction and to solicit past and new business to ensure all revenue goals (i.e., room nights, ADR, RevPAR, room rental, etc.) are achieved or exceeded. Leads the development and solicitation of business from all markets to ensure the necessary advance bookings needed for a successful and profitable operation for the hotel. Works as a team member and mentors other sales and catering staff. The senior sales manager is a career sales professional and a top producer with hotel sales who has demonstrated through performance a commitment and expertise in direct sales.
What You’ll Do:
  • Analyze market trends, competition, and demand to develop and implement effective sales strategies.
  • Manage key group accounts and ensure all business is booked within hotel parameters.
  • Conduct site inspections and promote all hotel services to prospective and existing clients.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure seamless execution of group business.
  • Maintain detailed records of the sales process from solicitation to closing.
  • Travel locally and nationally for client meetings, sales calls, and industry trade shows.
  • Actively participate in community and networking events to increase hotel visibility.
  • Consistently meet or exceed revenue goals while adhering to company policies and procedures.
About You:
  • Minimum 3 years of hotel sales experience.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • High school diploma required; college degree preferred or equivalent hotel sales training.
  • Strong knowledge of the travel industry, group sales process, market trends, and sales presentation techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written); strong coordination and organizational abilities.
  • Proficient in basic math and able to analyze data and make sound decisions.
  • Professional appearance and adherence to grooming standards required.
  • Willingness to travel to trade shows and participate in industry organizations and hotel duty programs.
  • Additional duties may be assigned by the Director of Sales based on hotel needs.
