Housekeeping Floor Supervisor Internship  POSITION PURPOSE

We have an exciting opportunity for a Floor Supervisor to join our housekeeping team. He/she is responsible for the upkeep and cleanliness of the entire hotel including guest rooms, public & back of house areas. A floor supervisor has training, coaching and supervising responsibilities.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervising and coaching the Room Attendants team to ensure their daily duties are completed
• Ensuring all accommodation areas of the hotel are cleaned to the required hotel and company standards
• Maintaining the standard of all equipment used by the team and ensuring repairs are dealt with promptly
• Implement and action on Housekeeping SOP’S and Daily Standards
• Ensure that all guest requests are carried out in a timely manner

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• A commitment to delivering high levels of guest service and cleanliness
• An exceptional level of attention to detail
• A good command of the English language due to guest interaction, notions of French and/or Dutch are a plus
• Able to walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift; to move, lift, carry, push objects without assistance; to reach overhead and below knees
• The enthusiasm to be part of a team
• Secondary School  Hotel Management or Bachelor of Hotel Management degree
