What will I be doing?

Maintains the physical functionality of the hotel including guest rooms, public space and heart-of-the-house areas, performing a variety of repairs and maintenance tasks including carpentry, plumbing, electric, painting, HVAC and masonry. In addition:

• Respond to guest issues (to include, but not limited to the following)
  • Respond to guest calls within 15 minutes
  • Greet the guest
  • Apologize for the inconvenience
  • Diagnose the issue
  • Perform a swift repair
  • Communicate to the guest what was done
  • Replaces components such as light bulbs, switches, motors, and micro-switches
  • Replaces faulty sections of pipe, valves, and fittings, using plumbing tools
• Must  be willing to plunge, snake, and replace toilets
• Maintain inventory of parts and lubricants
• Maintains a clean, neat shop work area, sweeping and cleaning as necessary
• Maintain proper functioning of all equipment and tools
• Establishes a clear line of communication with the engineering leadership
• Assist other maintenance staff on special projects as directed by the engineering leadership
