Job Description

 

The Steward is responsible for the cleaning and delivering of kitchen equipment for the Culinary department, service equipment for the Velvet Glove Restaurant and Lounge, the plate set-ups for Banquets, and the overall cleanliness of the area they are working in.

What you will be doing:

  • Clean and maintain the sanitation of kitchen equipment and other areas assigned.
  • Work efficiently to ensure that all Service and Culinary staff have the equipment they need to succeed at the job.
  • Pick up and dispose of all trash in all food and beverage areas.
  • Assists culinary staff with dish-ups.
  • Ensures Banquet plate set-ups are accurate and completed daily.
  • Assists in maintaining the cleanliness of the Cantina, and ensures the Cantina dishes are cleaned and restocked.
  • Ensure floors are being kept up with proper sweeping and mopping.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Must be capable of standing and walking for long periods of time.
  • Must be capable of bending, kneeling, and climbing a ladder.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
