Catering Sales Manager

Conrad Indianapolis is looking for a Catering Sales Manager to join the Catering and Events Team! This is an amazing opportunity to grow your career in a Fortune 500 company within a sophisticated luxury brand.

As the city’s first true luxury hotel and only Forbes recommended hotel in the state, this 23-story tower has 241 rooms, 15,000 square feet of banquet space, and 3 food and beverage outlets. This includes The Lounge, Tastings – Wine Bar & Bistro, and in-room dining.

In this role, you will take the lead in orchestrating local catering experiences for a range of social events, including weddings and mitzvahs. Additionally, you may provide support for group catering on occasion. Your creativity, attention to detail, and dedication to ensuring flawless events will play a pivotal role in crafting unforgettable moments for our guests.

To thrive in this role, we are seeking individuals with a minimum of 2 years of event servicing experience. Ideally, candidates will also possess at least 2 years of selling experience. Your deep understanding of event dynamics and salesmanship will set the stage for your success in this position.

What will I be doing?

As Catering Services Manager, you will be responsible for the development of market segment(s) including solicitation of new customer relationships, and negotiation of business through proposals and contracts to close business. Creative design of menus and events to maximize revenue and event experience.  Maintain existing relationships with corporate and social accounts. Fostering all internal customer relationships to ensure consistent, high-level service throughout the pre-event, event, and post-event phases of events.  Directs event logistics to affected departments and team members responsible for event execution.  Serve as the primary contact and is responsible for his/her experience.
