About the location:

Luxurious mountain lodge in the heart of the American West. Nestled in a verdant mountain valley, Five-Star Four Seasons Resort and Residences Jackson Hole is surrounded by some of America’s most rugged peaks, celebrated ski runs and wildlife in nearby Grand Teton National Park. Adventure for every season awaits, complemented by luxurious guest rooms and onsite amenities.

 

 

Responsibilities

  • The Basecamp Supervisor is responsible for directing the day to day operations of the ski shop in absence of Base Camp management.
  • The Supervisor oversees the daily operations on the shop floor making sure all tasks are completed.
  • The Supervisor is responsible for supplying ski and snowboard rentals, retail sales, and attending to guest needs.
  • Must be able to manage staff, guests, gear and business flow when needed.
  • Ability to show a working knowledge of products and trends within winter sports industry
  • Delegate daily duties like opening and closing tasks, critically think and troubleshoot issues and guest concerns.
  • Other tasks include maintaining a clean workspace, merchandising retail, driving revenue, and motivating staff,
  • Be a role model for excellence in training and coaching.
  • Support Basecamp management and assist with staff performance evaluations, delivering recognition, coaching, and disciplinary action when requested.
  • Adhere  to Forbes standards and steps of service.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ski shop supervisor must be motivated, have a positive attitude and detailed experience in winter sports.
  • Excellent personal skills particularly when dealing with Guest Service scenarios
  • Previous ski shop, retail shop, or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule in order to accomplish all major responsibilities. This includes evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • This position requires the ability to lift up to 50lb
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Windows based applications and internet-based software
  • Successful candidate must possess legal work authorization in the United States
