Join our Team

The Senior Director of Purchasing will oversee the purchasing and storeroom operations for both Four Seasons Hotel Istanbul at the Bosphorus and Four Seasons Hotel Istanbul at Sultanahmet, ensuring that all departments across both properties are adequately supplied to perform their functions efficiently.

What You Will Do

• Ensure compliance with all local and corporate policies, rules, internal controls, procedures, and safeguards related to the Purchasing Department.
• Obtain proper authorization for all hotel-specific purchasing contracts; conduct, manage, and complete competitive bids in accordance with policy, ensuring bids are on file where applicable prior to contract execution.
• Monitor slow-moving stock and circulate a monthly report to the Director of Finance and relevant Division Heads.
• Ensure all purchase requests are properly documented, approved, and accounted for prior to preparing purchase orders and completing purchases.
• Supervise the Receiving Clerk to ensure all items are received and documented in accordance with Four Seasons Purchasing and Receiving procedures.
• Support Accounts Payable in researching invoice discrepancies.
• Ensure that all storage areas are secure, clean, and properly organized.
• Establish and maintain par stock levels for inventoried items, keeping inventories as low as possible without compromising operational efficiency.
• Coordinate capital project purchases with the corporate Purchasing Department and external contractors.
• Conduct quality control audits to ensure staff are well-trained and compliant with established procedures.
• Assist the Director of Finance and/or Assistant Director of Finance in preparing forecasts and budgets as required locally or by the corporate office.
• Coordinate and participate in month-end, quarterly, and annual inventories of food, beverage, operating equipment, and supplies.
• Monitor hygiene standards and conduct hygiene audits as required.
• Track daily costs and review daily and monthly Food & Beverage Cost Reports.
• Lead, motivate, and develop your team by setting a positive example, engaging in employee relations activities, and supporting career growth through coaching, training, and instilling company values.
